Hi, nice to meet you!

My name is Natasha Hoyt (Hoytish), and art has been my passion since early childhood. Over the years, I've explored many styles and genres, but I ultimately found my true calling in graphic art. Using monochrome markers on watercolor paper, I create pieces that resonate deeply with my soul.

Inspiration

For me, art is more than just a visual experience—it's a way to express my inner thoughts and emotions. Each piece I create is a reflection of my journey, capturing moments of inspiration drawn from everyday life. Sometimes it's ornamental free drawing inspired by the beauty of nature, or realistic drawings of abandoned buildings, or a forgotten object waiting for someone to pay attention to and be loved, these influences shape my work.

Raving

I have a deep connection with music, especially techno and rave culture, which profoundly inspires my art. The rhythms, beats, and energy of this music form the backdrop to my creative process. The pulsating vibes and electrifying atmosphere of techno and rave scenes infuse my work with movement and intensity, guiding my hand and shaping the lines and forms on the paper.

Process

I love the simplicity and depth that monochrome art offers. The contrast of black and white allows me to focus on the essence of my subject, stripping away distractions and revealing the core emotions and stories. I use high-quality, cold-pressed watercolor paper - its strength and thickness are unmatched. This durability ensures that my artwork remains intact and vibrant, preserving the fine details and contrasts that are essential in monochrome art.

There's something incredibly satisfying about holding thick, high-quality paper in your hands. The weight and texture of the paper add a tactile dimension to the creative process, making it a truly immersive experience. It's not just about how the artwork looks, but also how it feels—both to create and to hold.
